Kentucky Tourism Web Series Featuring (myself!) Mike Wilkinson, Adventure Photographer
During the summer of 2019, I was asked to appear as the subject for not one, but two, different web series that served Kentucky Tourism.
The first project took place at Mammoth Cave National Park. I met up with a film crew and appeared alongside TV Chef Adam Glick, who has been doing different web and TV programs for a while now. We filmed content for an episode of “Stoked” which took us caving, followed by cooking some street corn at a campground. Here’s the video:
Later that summer I was asked to join Elia Locardi for a walk and talk about photography, for an episode of “Kentucky in Focus.” We went out to Chimney Top and their crew even stopped by for the premiere of Gone Tomorrow, the Story of Kentucky Ice Climbing.
It really dills my pickle to see that the natural beauty here in Kentucky is no longer a secret. The fact that our state is putting so much time and capital into tourism promotion makes me excited about the days ahead. In the mean time, I’ll just keep climbing and photographing all over the bluegrass state!
