Seeing My Cabin Photography on Billboards around Kentucky's Red River Gorge
Living in Kentucky and working as a photographer has been a dream come true for me. Nestled in the heart of the Red River Gorge, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to combine my passion for photography with the stunning landscapes and activities that this area has to offer. Recently, I was floored when I spotted my photography featured on billboards around the gorge, promoting local cabin rentals.
Capturing the essence of these cabins has been an exciting challenge. Each cabin has its own unique charm, whether it’s a cozy, rustic retreat tucked away in the woods or a luxurious escape with panoramic views of the cliffs. The goal was to highlight these features and convey the serene, inviting atmosphere that makes staying in these rentals so special. My clients, the local cabin rental businesses, have seen a noticeable uptick in bookings since the billboards went up. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my photos are not only showcasing the beauty of these cabins but also helping to boost local tourism and business.
Not only have I captured photos of cabin rentals, I’ve also worked with local businesses in the area, including the Gift Shop, Red River Gorge General Store, and Earth Shop. These inviting and informative photographs help show tourists what else there is to explore during their stay!
Seeing my work on a billboard for the first time was surreal. As I drove through the winding roads of the gorge and spotted my photographs larger than life, I felt an immense sense of pride. It’s one thing to see your photos on a screen or in print, but witnessing them in such a grand, public display is a whole new level of cool. It’s a reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place – to capture and share the beauty of the world around me.
If you ever find yourself exploring the Red River Gorge, keep an eye out for those billboards. You might just catch a glimpse of the magic that makes our cabins the perfect getaway. And if you’re in need of cabin rental or tourism photography, you know who to call!
