Kentucky Tourism Video Shoots for Bowling Green, Georgetown, and More
Kentucky has many small but vibrant communities, from quaint villages tucked deep into the hollers of Eastern Kentucky, all the way to more well-known destinations like Georgetown and Bowling Green. I was fortunate to be contracted to film short tourism videos in several different communities this past year, and below are a few of the final resulting videos!
I should note that some of these have a mix of previously filmed footage, and I didn’t do any of the editing :-)
The one I’m most proud of is easily this fall-themed shoot from Bowling Green! Two awesome talent gave me big smiles and sunny weather lit up some beautiful locations. For crew, it was just me and my Sony FX6 and Mavic 3 drone, with an a7iv on a gimbal for a handful of follow shots.
An unexpectedly fun shoot a few weeks before was for a Estill County shoot. Home to Irvine and Ravenna, Estill County is the where the bluegrass meets the mountains. Weather was a bit spotty midday but we still managed to get some great footage on the river, at a local farm/bnb, and stop at a few historic places as well to hike around.
My other favorite shoot from this series would definitely be from Georgetown! We spent the morning chasing horses for selfies and pets, then took the afternoon on a more leisurely route and enjoyed cocktails and food at Local Feed before heading to the local microbrew, Country Boy. Not a bad way to wrap up the day!
